Find your saxophone
Saxophones are one of the cheapest instruments you can find on the market, both beginner and professional.
For beginners: here is a list of saxophones and equipment; mouthpieces, reeds, and ligatures. This list is for alto saxophone, but most materials can be applied to soprano, tenor, or baritone. Even so, if you have any questions, write me a message in the “contact” box and we will schedule a meeting totally free.
For advanced players there are many options and almost all of them are good if the combination of saxophone, mouthpiece, ligature and reed is the right one. The most important thing (for me) is that the instrument responds to you and that you feel comfortable playing. Anyway, if you have any questions, as I said before, write to me in the “contact” box.
At the end you will find a list of the material that I use in my day to day for soprano, alto, tenor, and baritone saxophone.

Any ligature is good, if it holds the reed properly.
For a brighter sound > metal ligature.
For a darker sound > artificial leather or similar:
